Whitefish Strikeout, Weather Bomb

Braved the weather and temperature plummet on Saturday. Set out for some Whitefish in the boat. Fished all depths from 35-135fow. Marked one or two in shallow but majority of fish were hunkered down in the depths of the main basins, and their jaws were welded shut by the temp drop, or so I assume. Tried various presentation and tactics, but the day was tough and fishless.
I still enjoyed myself thoroughly, good company.

Maybe I’ll try again next weekend... without the snow. They can’t always be successful trips.

I had the graph speed set at the highest it would go... so that’s a decent pile of fish down there... not hungry.

Temp probe is broke on the graph... more like 37f.

I really like the fact that you posted a tough fishless day...It puts the fishing days into the correct perspective, meaning not all outings are stellar

When the elements are against you, days like this happen. no reason not to get out there as at least you found inactive fish

Yes Saturday was a tough day of Crappie fishing as well.My partner and I only managed 50-60 combined! Hate these cold fronts..

That's what keeps us hard core fishermen going back you never know how good or bad its going to be as long that everyone gets home safe its all good.
