Im looking at getting a new shore casting rod. currently have a 9'6" ML Its great for 1 ounce eights but has a slow tip and it struggles with 2oz weights casting into the winds and waves What rods do you guys run for this type of fishing?
Im looking for a longer rod with a faster tip and good backbone. Any recommendations? Also considering a custom rod but never have gone down that route.

I use a St. Croup 11.5 ft med heavy fast tip, casts a mile. Most med heavy fast tip rods will do the job for you. 8.5 ft and up should be good, I use mine on G.B.
