World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 2410 Member No.: 15901 Joined: April 12, 2018	not many years there is ice on Erie to venture out on, and when there is it is a crap shoot if you make it back to shore, at least in my area.

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 11183 Member No.: 118 Joined: February 11, 2011	Made it out twice in last 15 years....one time was okay with good ice, the other was a lot of cracks and heaved ice and didn't like that at all more sheltered areas may prove to have better ice conditions, say St. Williams area

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 2077 Member No.: 12665 Joined: December 22, 2016	Long Point Bay some years have walkable ice so locals ice fish there for perch and pike but you have to be extremely careful and check the conditions with locals PS . Yep, that would be St. Williams area as already mentioned by Longshank.

From what I was reading it seems that they are out on the lake every year. Im not that far from there (Hamilton Mountain Area) so it was worth asking. Theres not much hardwater stuff going on around here where you can take a sled and flipover. Will have to investigate further. Thanks for the replies
