Is it actually your canoe? It was returned in better shape than i found it, re-installed a couple of the aluminum ribs.

I was just kidding . I’ve “borrowed” stashed canoes myself and always put them back where I found them. No harm ,no foul.
I’ve always had my best luck ice fishing splake in water a little deeper than specks but not as deep as lake trout... somewhere between 4 and 10 feet of water. I’ve also had more luck on set lines with minnows than worms. That being said they are hit and miss even in a good lake.
