I'm looking to head up this way in mid-September and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the fishing is like that time of the year? We will be heading out onto the lake as well, but one of my friends likes to just fish on the river.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Troll in the river with small crankbaits and you will catch everything including walleye. If you catch a walleye, fish the area hard with jigs tipped with minnows.

Thanks, will give that a try. Newb question, but are minnows more effective than worms when going for walleye?

From my personal experience I find worms are better for walleye and minnows are better for bass. But I guess it depends on where and how you are fishing..

Welcome aboard & let us know how you do out there..
