I fish inside, so 12 pound braid with a 8 pound flouro leader... Also tried 20/10 and no noticeable difference in catch rates On my wooden tip ups it's 12 pound flouro It's heavy stained water so you go heavier imo

8# floro on M/MH rods, 6# floro on UL/L/ML rods. 30# tip up braid to 8# floro leader on tip ups.

15lb braid and 8 lb flouro, dropshot set up with trokar #2 hook

When working lures I prefer 6lb braid with a floro leader. I find the light line allows great natural movement of my lures.

I like a 10lb braid just because of the uncertainty of what you could hook into with the wide variety of fish Nipissing has in it....don't want to miss that big one.
