Just punched a quick hole along the shore in the pleasant point area. Frozen across the lake. Hole is in shallow water but 3-4 inches. Hoping it gets colder.

Frozen across. FYI this is not at the launch but more between pleasant point and snug harbour out to the left.

Drilled a few holes yesterday in 8 FOW ice was 4 inches or so. Still not even close to safe especially with all the rain today. Might be starting from square one tomorrow. Did get skating with the kids for a couple days though.

Move here recently beside Ken Reid. Any hazardous areas to avoid other than the obvious channels and rivers to avoid?

My buddy has his hut out. 4-5 inches of ice. Rink is screwed but nice to have a like in. Also, no minnows in the area right now.

I first take this video cause I was surprised. I then go out to my hole and the guy comes back over and asks me how thick the ice is as I’m yelling at him to get out of here.

Currently sitting on my bucket. Cant wait to find minnows tomorrow. These artificial just don’t work which is already a tough lake to fish on the ice.
