Hey guys. Had my nip trip with my Young boy canceled looking to see if we’re able to walk out on Simcoe before holidays are over. Anyone have any info on the ice conditions if any at all?

Good thing but bad thing at the same time..
no ice sucks but having all this snow on top of new ice wouldn't help..

Most of the smaller lakes in the area are pretty well off by now though, I'm heading out for the first time tomorrow. In my opinion, I would avoid Couchiching though it's not all "safe" yet.
Hope your able to find some good ice, be very careful this time of year though

I would be extra careful with all the snow adding weight to the ice and limiting your vision seeing possible trouble spots.

Yeah I rescheduled for tomorrow just so I'm not dealing with the snow squalls with no hut. I left my popup out of town
