Hats off to this outfitter.. Covid numbers through the roof only 5 days after Christmas and a lot are saying it's due to holiday gatherings...This is probably just the beginning to the rising covid numbers.. Everyone stay safe and Happy New Year.. 2021 can't get worse, can it..

Well how to say this in a way not to cause a real crap show. We respect and don't disagree with what Beer Creak is saying and doing. Totally up to them. As you are all well aware Mr. Ford has asked people to stay at home, locked inside their houses and not to come out. We are opening our business up on January 8th to anyone from the same household. Our 14 day lock down is over on January 9th. We will then open up to our clients who wish to come unless Mr Ford and his finance minster ( LOL ) say that you can't travel, now that there holidays are over. I'm sure anyone who has watched TV in the past 3 days can see the irony in this. That being said each to there own (with safety in mind), My opinion only. We are asking our clients to please bring everything they need from their home town, only stop for gas or at a drive through for food or coffee joint. When you get here one person with a mask will enter our office to pay, then you will be wisked away in one of our people movers ( sounds cool ) to your luxurious ice condo for your two night stay (sounds romantic) just kidding or not we do have a fireplace. Anyway back to the subject. If you have forgot or need anything we as always will pick it up at the local corner store and bring it out to you at no extra cost. We are fully aware of covid and how it is causing death, destruction and decimating our small businesses. We are allowed to open as many stores are. With respect if you don't want to travel or feel that we can't keep you safe please stay at home. We have spent thousands of $$$ on ways to keep you safe at our establishment, and to let you enjoy a little bit of outdoors instead of being cooped up for another six months. This is our choice please respect us in our decision. This thread is not one that we are looking for a big debate. We wish everyone a Happy New Year and if we don't see you in 2021 we will catch you in 2022. Stay safe!

High levels of respect for all decisions made to maintain the safety of Canadian residents by Northern outfitters. As an annual SSIC customer, a reiteration of the appreciation and respect for their investment and commitment to maintaining the safety of their customers while offering their clients the opportunity of maintaining the annual tradition of fishing the Nip in early January for as long as it’s within the provincial regulations. Grateful for the outfitters that have prepared Ontario residents for this, and respect for those that admittedly have not. Happy New Year!! Hoping to be Northbound on the 9th.

THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN MY 10TH YEAR GOING UP THERE WITH THE GREAT FOLKS OF BEAR CREEK COTTAGES. DOES THIS SUCK? YA IT SUCKS, REAL BAD. BUT OUR GROUP RESPECTS ANY AND ALL ACTIONS BEING TAKEN BY THE OUTFITTERS ON NIPISSING. HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET THE CHANCE LATER ON IN THE NEW YEAR OTHERWISE 2022 IT IS. I WISH ALL THE OUTFITTERS AND FELLOW HARD WATER WARRIORS WELL IN THE NEW YEAR. TIGHT LINES TO THE ONES THAT LIVE UP THERE AND ARE ABLE TO GET OUT TOMORROW. CANT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONES OPENING DAY PICS.

Just my 2 cents, respect Bear Creek Cottages for their decision, it probably was very difficult. Small business suffers. Also agree with SSIC as long as everyone is from the same household. I’m from the GTA and may need to cancel my trips to Lake Nipissing as I live by myself.
To all outfitters hope it all works out and we can get back to some kind of normal.

It is disgusting what is being done to peoples lively hoods. Couldn't imagine being a business owner. The numbers will likely drop when spring comes, which will have nothing to do with lock downs, just like last year..
