Just wondering if any operators on Nippissing have there 6 and 8 man bungalows out yet? I've heard the ice is only 6-8" in spots. What thickness does it have to be for them to set up the big bungalows 12" ? Dunno if ice is any thicker near the south shore?

The next seven days all look good for making ice according to WeatherCanada -2 daytime down to -16 some nights with four of those nights averaging-14. That should build ice over the next week.

My operator is going to be functional starting Jan 8th, and I have a reservation. They haven't shared any concerns about ice thickness, so I really hope this won't be an issue.

Yeah, we are also scheduled for Jan 9-11... thats pending extended lock downs, and ice thickness. I've been told 8-11" but with weight of snow everytime holes are drilled water floods over the ice. Told there's a chance they could have to cancel or only drill holes outside. None in the huts. ... here's hoping it all works out! If not then we will see you guys next year!
