Though enforcement is yet to be seen as this starts as of Wednesday night.
I think the point is not to be travelling. Stay close to home for exercise and recreation purposes.
I was planning on heading up alone and sleeping on the ice. I won't be doing that now.
I don't see any reason why locals can't get out and ice fish. If you are questioning whether you are local then stay home or risk it. Again, who knows how they will enforce it.

I would debate the recreation part of your quote. To me what is allowed is just a short walk for fresh air. Just like the premier said A SORT WALK AROUND THE BLOCK.

Definitely debatable. To some a short walk is exercise others a jog or run. How far 1km? 5? As for the loccal issue, if you live on a lake maybe a 200ft walk out, manual auger is exercise. Sitting all day maybe not, but back & forth - why not. Having to travel via car to the ice to get “exercise” that is also debatable. Unfortunately - at this point, I’ll be staying away.

I've got a pregnant wife due in a couple months. Have been living in lockdown basically the entire time. High risk grand parents haven't been seen except over the zoom. Got the curbside groceries all figured out. I really don't go in anywhere. I wanted it to freeze so I could get some solace in my one man flipover. I get it people gotta be people but if I can do this for 7+ months you all can give it a good go for 28 days. Loopholes are for losers. Stay off the lakes the fish deserve a break anyways

The fact they haven't kept it out of old age homes, after all this time, makes all the other restrictions suspect. But summer's comming and I'm sure Ford will take credit, when it does.Too bad there wasn't a way to contain the hotspots without punishing the entire province.
