I talked with James as we are were both leaving at the same time. Lots of perch today. They seemed hungry. Kept 8, 8 inches or more, with four about 11-12 inches (never measured). Threw back over 30 , most around 8 inches (some smaller, of course), but no real dinks this time. They came in waves today, about every 30 minutes or so. It helps to have an underwater camera. You can now see them when they're not biting, so you don't need to leave, just try something different. Also ran into the Ice Wizard, who was also leaving. Even though your by yourself, you're never alone. Fun times.

Nice to have talked to you! I see and I am glad you got a few nice sized perch. And did I mention to you I caught and landed a cellphone?:-)

Thanks for the advice everyone! I parked at Casey's and met the infamous Taj, great guy and operation. His minnows were some of the liveliest that I've ever seen. I will be back.

I have to give a shout out to Taj, I was a first time visitor of this area.
I walked out with my sled and dropped my tackle box along the walk out. When I was realized all my tackle is in that box I was really feeling like an idiot...
I ran back to the shore direction and Taj was driving his ATV so i waved at him to hopefully get a ride back. He surprised me and said was i looking for this? (my tackle box)
He actually found it on the ice, and he was trying to bring it back out to me.

Fishing was on and off. I moved times and the 2nd hole had fish non stop, but once we got all the jumbos, only the dinks were left. We moved to hole 3 and 4 and nothing was around there.
