First Boat Fish of the Season!, Laker

Hey everybody! With the ice leaving most our lakes early this year, I hope everyone has (or will soon) have the chance to get out there and enjoy the spring. I was lucky enough to get out and bag my first lake trout of the season last weekend. I was still finding them deep (60FOW+) but they were active and willing to chase. I woulda loved to let this one go, but with the amount she was bleeding, there was no way she would have made it. I got this one on a 10g natural shiner vibrato.

Also, this was my first time losing a phone fishing lol, I'm curious how many other anglers on here have had that happen? I always thought I would love it through an ice fishing hole, but nope.

Nice! I was marking them yesterday and lots of bait in 80fow with some big marks above... had some chase but alas... skunk again.

Life proof used to make a life jacket for the iPhone... too clunky for me though.

Cool video, you got it all the catch the release attemp (good for you!) the shore lunch over a fire on the beach. Was that a Mason jar of water ? Nice idea with the powder and jar and you were persistent with trying to get that fish back into the water.
