Thanks for the thorough advice! Just gotta rewire the trailer and I'll be good to go.
So if they aren't spawning, but they aren't deep, I assume we're talking about fish staged outside of their spawning grounds?

With this early spring fish will be spawning earlier as well this year, in my opinion. The one for sure thing is that the crappie should stay in large tight schools longer but where those areas are will be a bit of a mystery. I was going to balsam in a couple of days, but that has changed now. I might not be able to fish much for next four weeks...work and other stuff is getting in the way. If I hear anything from friends or if I can get out for a day. I will post something. Sorry I am not much help right now.

Was planning on heading up to a Kawartha lake tomorrow but after today's stay-at-home order, I have decided to just skip the spring fishing. I'm sure some will feel it's okay to go fishing and I am not going to judge but given a bunch of other reasons, I have decided just to stay home as much as possible for now. I agree that if they are keeping golf courses open, fishing should be okay (as there is usually much more space between people) but there is likely to be some people out there that do not want folks from other regions visiting so... I'll just have to make up for my lack of ice fishing this season and now spring fishing in another year. But looking forward to hearing how others do when you go fishing. At least I can try to learn more that way as well. Good luck out there and stay safe.
