We all have to decide for ourselves how to deal with what is going on right now. To fish or not to fish that is the question. You make the decisions that affect you. Fish can be bought at a store or on line and shipped to your house fresh frozen. I have never ate a freshwater fish that I have not caught myself in Ontario. Chicken, pork, beef, and fish cost money at the store. Fresh walleye and crappie is 15 to 20 dollars a pound. And it is usually fresh frozen as they say. I pack my fish in the freezer in 2 pound bags. The family would eat fish twice a week. Steak and pork chops and chicken and fish and so on, you do the math. The fish that we eat is almost free for me to catch most of my life. You do have to FIND the fish and CATCH it. I do not know too many places in Ontario where you can't find a place to fish. To each their own, but for me fishing is a way of life. You really do not need a boat or expensive equipment, that is just a bonus if you do. If you want fresh fish, you can find it and catch it and eat it. You can even freeze some for next week if you like. The point is fishing can save money and is an experience every time you go. I will say it again. For some of us fishing is a way of life. NO WAY I CHANGE MY WAY OF LIFE EVER FOR ANY REASON. Well maybe one change......FISH MORE...SAVE MORE. Stay safe and good luck out there.
