Took my son out for a morning fish landed some nice ones here are the pictures and video to see. We started trolling with no fish biting so we switched to the old school worm and a hook it did the trick by fishing downed logs in the water.

Beautiful healthy fish nice going were you using any weights wih the worms or just sraight hook and worms ?
Just a good old hook and worm no weights on line. When the fish are not biting on the lake trolls that is how i get them
Yup----that's how we would catch them in our teens. They would follow the worm close to the surface. Once the Mayfies hatched, though, it was game over.......turn out the lights.

I grew up fishing carp in the city with that method. It is deadly for bass. I’ve since expanded it to include Brookies. It is surprisingly effective once you find the fish. Just used the weight of the worm and as long as you are using light enough line it goes plenty far. Floats down all natural and slow-like, the fish love it.
