Hit the lake again today.
Yesterday was so good and the wind was great so off I went with a good friend.
We had a great rip while setting the rods on a prototype bait I am working on for meat rig heads. I can’t Divulge to much yet so the baits is blacked out sorry.
The new bait was an idea I had for a reusable cut bait that works with traditional heads. So far it’s been smashed several times the only two times we used it but the fish kept coming unbuttoned. Some tweaks running the rig and whamo we landed two on the prototype. The new bait came through unscathed and can be used again and again. It happened to be only bait we could get a fish to hit. We washed a whole tackle box of trusted lures to no avail so I am thrilled the prototype was successful on a tough bite. I am developing the bait with Impact Baits who have been awesome helping me out.
The King in the pic is 34” x 21.5”. A big fat girl and a nice surprise for us.
