Anyone been out of Port Credit area yet? I am going tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone had any reports of success.

I will report here if I have any luck.

Last Sunday we got 2 chinnes, (a shaker and a 20lb) between 110-180fow fishing upper 35 ft. Spoon and SD/fly. Didnt mark much fish and had a short day. Water was below 50F on surface. Should be warmer now

WE also had a strong north east wind today that turned the water over. I never really like that

good luck if you go.....don't know if the die off happened over there like here

Hit the water first light today.

First hour me and a friends son hit 7 fish. The next hour and a half we hit 4 more. Not a single sniff after than. Mixed Coho and Chinook. All in all 11 hook ups but I was teaching my friends son to use a mooching reel so lots of unbuttoned fish. He did get a nice spunky 6-7 lb Chinook that took some screaming runs and then turned and came back at the boat so fast he thought he lost it. He actually said “it’s gone” and handed me the rod. Knowing better I hammered in some line really fast and felt the fish and handed him back the rod to take up bottle again.

We got every single hit but one on the exact same spoon 40 feet down over 150 fow. The only other hit was on a prototype bait I am working on.

Another couple of friends of mine were out on another boat. They couldn’t buy a bite all morning and then got into them in the afternoon around 2:00 in shallow of all places. They hit Chinook, Coho and Rainbow.

I managed my favourite a nice fat Coho for our last fish of the day.

Nice report Disco! I kept getting tricked by fish last year who would charge the boat making me think they came off, only for them to do 180s and then unbutton themselves. Now I assume there's a fish on until I see my lure!
