fish Lake erie yesterday, Leamington

Well got out on the water about 730, no fish till 830. From 830 till 1030 I caught 17. The range was from 6" to 21". I was by myself so missed a few by the boat. I think every boat out there were getting lots. I was off by myself with no other boats around in 33FOW. The guys I talked to when back at ramp got bigger fish in 35FOW.

All I can say is, you should enjoy your dinner.

back to leamington today, forecast called for North winds less then 20k and maybe a little rain. Got to ramp winds were West probable 30K which is along shore. Decided to go anyway, waves were about 3ft. I went out to 32' and started trolling out with waves to the side. In half hour I got 7 pickerel, 4 to small to keep and waves got to 6ft. and sky started to turn black on shore packed it in. by the time i got back to shore was major storm going on, rain and lightning. even at that there was a 16ft tinny at the ramp heading out with 3 guys in it. No wonder we have to have a coast guard.

Holy cow you guys be careful out there. When I was a kid I lived in Kingsville right on the corner of Queen and Elm st. We would walk a couple blocks down to the park and fish from shore. The walleye do come into the shallow water at night all along there. On stormy nights we would stand there and watch the storms, huge waves and wind. Time sure goes by fast, that was 50 years ago. Stay safe out there guys.
