Fathers Day was the perfect day for a father son fish.
My buddy and I took my boat with both our fathers to downrig lake O.
Both father put PB Chinooks on the board for rigging. They have bigger in the river but a open water Chinook is a different beast IMO.
The fish were STACKED in 75 fow in the morning. I have never marked so many hooks on my graph downrigging ever. We managed to go 10-12 on the day. The fish were there but they were picky. As the morning wore on the sun got higher and the fish kind of disappeared. We went deeper to 150-170. We found a good amount of fish and hit our two biggest which were just under the 30 pound class. To my pleasure we took good fish all on spoons except the two big ones that came on my prototype bait I have been developing with Impact Baits.
Here a pic of my Dads PB.
