just back from an annual trip up to the Sudbury area. Been fishing this area since my early teens, never fails to produce. This year i guess we paid the price for the virtual lack of flying insects that want to eat you, by really having to work for the fish. Most times we can anchor up in the evening and catch all we want , but that tactic only landed us a few. Trolling was the ticket this year , but the numbers were also down. Still managed to come home with our limit of walleye with plenty of in season bass up there with a few pike thrown in the mix.Cold front moved in the day we arrived and shut down the bite i guess, with smoke in the sky from two fires burning we packed up and left.Another great trip back home.

Now that's fishing. I could sit in that boat or on that dock and never move until they had to drag me in kicking and screaming...."JUST ONE MORE HOUR I PROMISE" Great report, it sounded amazing.

Very nice trip and fishing!
Always enjoy the solitude of the remote small lakes. Beautiful!

Super post.
It's always nice to get away from the traffic on the water sometimes.
Great looking dinner too.

Cheers,
