Actually my neighbours own a cottage rental and they got something last year and this year. Not much mind you but something. There was paperwork to ensure you qualified but they got it done. Vic Fedeli's office even called to let them know it was available.

Little late for that ain't it? We're in year 2. Probably a headache trying to get it...
Vent done
It's never too late...when everything you own and your family's future, their livelihood and that of all the people you employ is entirely depend on the small business you started with your own time, effort and resources.
My daughter built and owns a small business. She took advantage of the parallel program-The Ontario Small Business Support grant, when the program was first announced in December and applications opened in January.......and she was bloody happy she did. Deadlines to qualify for these programs are ending in June...they started earlier.
Didn't matter to my daughter how long she'd been in a forced locked down...she was just grateful something, anything, in the way of assistance was being offered at that point. When the program was announced and she qualified...she jumped on it...as any astute small business person would. The grant wasn't even close to enough, but it helped get her business through the government imposed lockdowns...that were no fault of her own. She got her first grant payment in February...second, just a few weeks ago. It at least helped bridge the gap till she could open again this past Friday. Yes, it was a total cluster F... to wade thru the government application process...many are still waiting for their money. But as of May 10th 100,000 small business's have received a 1st grant payment and 75,000 their 2nd. If you can't handle the frustrations of dealing with every level of government bureaucracy...then you couldn't own a small business, nor survive, as a small business person in this province today.
So a big shout out to 'all' the small businesses out there that had to go thru this pandemic. Make sure you apply for every dime of government assistance you qualify for...IMO, you deserve every little bit of it. And thanks for what you do, how hard you work and for all the people you employ, who's families are dependent on you. You're the backbone of this country's economy.
And yes, camp operators are again open, under stage one of the reopening, this past Friday. Just ensure you check with the operators themselves regarding scheduling, conditions and regulations.

Grumpa and best of luck to your daughter, hope the time "locked down" if it's done anything positive has changed peoples perspective and more and more shift toward supporting small and local upon reopening.
Even if not as fast/convenient or slightly more expensive at times than the big boys there's never been a better reason to support your neighbors and countrymen/women
