Hello! I'm trying to plan a walleye fishing trip for my dad and my uncle mid/late August. They are wanting to trailer the boat up north of Lake Superior (Wawa, White River, Marathon areas)... wondering if anyone has recommendations on lodges in the area that they would recommend. They looking for numbers, not necessarily trophies

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks,
Denis

I stayed at the High Falls Cabin and Motel last year.

The people who own/run it were very friendly. I loved the cabin as they are full cook cabins and very comfortable. We had three queen beds in our Cabin and a nice bathroom with plenty of parking available.

My buddy and I were also there to fish and the Mitchipicotin is right there and has an amazing run of Salmon and trout. I have the owners a couple of fillets and they were so greatful so doesn’t hurt to sweeten the mood if you gets lots of fish. 😉

Check out Pasha lake cabins .
I wanted to go with them but it did not happen for my reasons .
They have some good reviews and Chad can put you on numbers of walleye .

I agree that Pasha and Nakina are better areas. Around Superior is more known for trout and salmon. There are some pickeral lakes around but further away from superior is a better option imo. White lake provincial park has decent fishing and there are a few lodges there if your heart is set on that area.

I agree with Pasha lake and area

White lake has had it's share of pressure for sure but can still be good.

the more you get off the beaten path, the better the numbers will be and the easier the access, the opposite holds true

My next trip up that way will be a fly in..no question

I can't say enough good things about this one. A rare gem I would go back to again.

We did a week trip this year and it was simple kick a## awesome.

Great fishing a few trophies but over all lots and lots of fish.

And bring a few jerry cans, gas was 165 and stations were few and far between on our route.

I wouldn't go that direction for walleye other than White Lake, if they're in the GTA Lady E, Bisco, Ramsey, Wakami, Horwood and Missinaibi would be my options

I would also highly recommend this outfitter as well....probably overall the best outfitter I've ever experienced
These guys know their fishing!great cottage with 24 hr electricity,a/c,satellite tv,full bathroom with flushing toilet and shower.great boats, fish finders,GPS with hotspot coordinates.these guys want you to catch fish!we went 3 years ago for 5 days, they guided for 2 days...I thought I knew my stuff, but I was humbled and amazed at their knowledge and experience...great guys as well...
One day at a certain spot I caught over 30 walleye in 30 consecutive casts¡!!no crap
Aron and Matt are fun to fish with as well...really down to earth and they take much pride in what they do
And this isn't a plug,I'm just a satisfied customer
