Hi Folks,

My fishing report of the past 2 weekends.. Last Sat I fished for bass on a lake I don't usually fish, mainly due to the distance.. Boy the fishing is better when you drive more than 1 hr away.. LOL.. Landed over a dozen bass, most were 1-2 lbs, but got a couple bwt 3 and 3.5 lbs.. All caught on deep weedlines, 12-14 fow, using a carolina rig..

This Sat, stayed closer to home, fishing was tougher.. Much cooler in the mornings now and a cold front had passed the day before. Anyway casted all day, many different structures and depths.. Finally put a pattern together, casting shoreline drop-offs (9-12 fow) with a small spinnerbait.. Landed 2 pike and 4 bass. Boat traffic yesterday was brutal.. Water was clear in the morning, but by 2-3 pm it was all murky from wake wash along the shorelines.. It's summer, and a Sat, people out having fun.. But makes for tough fishing.. Better than sitting on the couch.. Great to get out and wet a line...

Some pics..

Thanks for the report and pics, Jerry! Nicely done!
Not bad at all for the cold front fishing, especially on sunny Saturday day when the jetskis are out in full force!

If I fish sunny warm weekend day I usually try to pick up a less popular lake or lake area away from boat traffic, go out early in the morning and done fishing before noon as by then all the cruisers and waverunners are woke up to have fun on the water.

Can't wait for the fall to come.

Nice looking haul there Jerry. I could have used a couple of those bucket mouths yesterday myself! Looks like a fun day in less than ideal conditions.
