With a crazy busy year for work, and moving to a new place in June, I haven’t had much time to get the boat out for a proper bass fish this year.
Finally got out on the bay this morning, and tried a few new areas along with some old spots that produced last season.
Got a few nice ones, up to 4-1/2lbs that absolutely crushed a big spinnerbait burned over shallow water, then I stumbled across a mega school that was sitting along the side of a shoal about the size of a house that topped off at 10’ with deep water all around. For the next 1/2 hour, I proceeded to catch a fish on pretty much every single cast, and every fish was pretty much exactly 4lbs. Sure was a fun fight on a long drop shot rod and 6lb line.
On the water by 6:00 and off by noon, just before the ramp got loony.
Sure was nice to finally feel some big bass stretching my string!

Just love when that happens fish after fish. Don't care what they are just love the feeding frenzy days and nights. Very nice looking fish you caught.
