Jerry(Metalbuckle) and I have got it all sorted out and we shall be fishing out of Collingwood this Thursday, August 19th. We plan to launch the Legend around 6:45AM. Looks like it will be a nice calm day.

I'm assuming he will be coming prepared to do live reports from the lake.

If any other members feel like bringing their boats out that day, please do so. Let us know if you are coming so that we can be in touch with each other.

Look out salmon!

Hi Dave

Cannot go Wednesday and when I look at WF, it's not showing rain for Thursday?

I am good to go for Thurs...

Just checked weather now and it is saying rain for Thurs, with risk of t-storm in afternoon..

But this could easily change.. They have been calling for rain quite a few days and I have seen nothing... Still have to water my plants...

Of all the wind and weather sites I monitor, I find the Weather Network the least accurate.

Yep ; Agree , the weather network is generally less than useless, windfinder now calling for ok weather with moderate winds and no rain ..

Hey the "DOUBLE D " team will join the action ..what say a small wager to spice up the event ??

Look out salmon

Hey Dave

Good news you will be out there.

How about a "biggest fish" contest?

Losing team has clean ALL the fish at the fish cleaning station.

Have to go to Bracebridge today for a fiddle music jam. This will take me past Epps Fishing on Hwy 11, so an opportunity to try and replace the gold colored lure I lost to a salmon on a recent trip. Like I need more lures! I must have hundreds and I use the same 10 or 15 all the time.

So, now we shall have 2 member boats out there.

Anymore going to join us?

Weather looks ideal.

Is there just the one launch Collingwood??
Is this a good forecast for that day, it will be a little choppy no?
Maybe the wind direction is ideal for Collingwood.

Pretty unusual for a fisherman, eh?

Yup I also find weather network useless.....been using accuweather.com for about 8 years now and have tried so many others....but always resort to accuweather for a accurate account of the forecast and especially their doppler when I am out on the water, as a live eye to what is coming at you. I am a landscaper and a fisherman and both require a reasonable amount of accuracy in weather.....give it a try you will not be disappointed....look around at all the different facets that it delivers......

The WN was waaay off when we foolishly cancelled a day trip----much rain (30-40?), winds, thunderstorms forecast. Turned out to be just a few showers.
