I often do the same thing in Georgian Bay.....use a ice rod to play with the sallies.....sometimes get into 4 to 5 pounders and never get those guys in but sure have a lot of fun. Great vid Koke.

Yeah, I find I can keep the rod nice and close to the transducer and use it like a flasher. Aside from the challenge of keeping the line away from the outrigger I find that little rod is pretty good for fighting them. Thanks for the good words.
