I finished up a small job this afternoon on an island, so I figured I might as well make a few casts on the way back to the ramp. Hit a couple spots quick with a drop shot and got some fat little smallmouth, then I was just playing around with a crankbait and got this nice little tiger musky. There’s quite a few of them in this particular lake, and I’ve caught about 20 or so over the years up to 42” long, but it’s been a few years since I got one ( mainly cause I haven’t musky fished much lately). Now if only every days commute from work was like this
It’s definitely a tiger. All the muskie in this lake are practically pure silver, with almost no markings on them at all. All the tigers I’ve caught have very distinct markings and colour. I’ve caught quite a few barred fish over the years on other lakes, and these guys don’t look like them at all.
