This morning I had 2 hours to check one of the Lake Ontario creeks for fresh steels and had a good luck landing 3 good size trout, roe bags worked the best. Nice weather, fresh fish, what else you need to start new day!

Beautiful Steelhead.

Just an fyi. If you’re catching and releasing don’t let them sit in the mud. It’s very bed for their gills. Just shallow gravel bottom is better or a landing net with the basket left in the water.

Nice steeles! Congrats !
The waters are cooling down fast so the fish is moving up the rivers.

I had more time in the morning today, fished till 12:15 pm and it was fantastic day! Managed to catch three on eggs, three on pink worm, four on fly, so 10 in total. The best my haul ever.
