Lots of fish and I do mean lots, marked by the sonar, but none on the line and the net never got wet.
Pulled into the parking lot at the Collingwood ramp at 7:30 and no other boats or trailers there? Ideal day, no wind and flat calm. Two other boats showed up after we launched.
Talked to Paul the Harbormaster and he said go South and work 30 to 60fow with spoons. We were rods down before 8:00 and we followed the advice from Paul and we marked all kinds of fish and bait, close to bottom in those depths. It was cloudy and overcast until about 10:30 and then the sun came out. The fish disappeared from the shallower depths and we found them again between 100 and 120fow, still close to bottom. Lockjaw was still prevalent and we marked very few fish in the mid water column. Last time out that's where the fish were.
We tried all our favorite spoons and plugs and then some. We flat-lined and used the riggers, all to no avail. Shallow, we were running lures 125 to 200ft behind the ball.
