Well it's been 4 years since I picked up my float road and pin reel. Met up with a buddy on Monday on the Notty and spent the day working out the kinks and remembering how to cast again. Got skunked that day. Tuesday however the fishing gods smiled on me and I went 1/4 landing this 4lbs beauty for dinner. Good to be back on the river again.

Perfect specimen.
It is a great looking fish, it’s a real shame it’s dead now.
Why is it a shame? If it’s harvested legally their is nothing wrong with sustainable harvest. If you don’t want any fish to ever die stop fishing as even catch and release has mortality.
