If you like Amirilla sp aka honey mushrooms don’t forget to pick up the Lactarius Thyinos (salmon milk cap). Both flush at the same time. They bleed orange milk and taste amazing fried.
Yea picked some of these too, I prefer them small, I’ve never seen so many of these this year. The indigo milky I rarely see in my areas, but have found some only too late in their development. I actually host a mushroom foray every year, except this year, and there are so many!

Mykola I hunt a huge amount of mushrooms. A forum would be cool.
Chris Matherly has one, morel mushroom hunting club, he is outta the US and I’m sure some people would use an Ontario version. I have always thought about starting one, but I’m too busy fishing. Haha

We eat mushrooms with almost everything, but have never had wild mushrooms before. They look very good, so many varieties. Oh ...and a nice trunk full of fish.

Trout is now closed so whitefish are the main target for me now. Went 5 for 8 and my friend got 1 and we released one small trout. The whitefish are not on the bottom right now. They are in the top 15-20ft of the water column over deeper structure and drops around 60fow. Some were swirling on the surface around the boat. No fish were any deeper than 20ft over the deeper water. I could at times see the whitefish as I jigged. Was a great day. May take my son out this afternoon for some fun.

You kept some fish. Does that mean you are back in your house?
Still homeless in a tent trailer, and turns out I won’t be able to move back in to my house, so I’m still looking for a place for my family to live long term. I sent the fish with my friend.
Sorry to hear. That's a real pain. I hope you find a place soon---it's getting cooler.
