Hit some big boys yesterday with this group.

14 for 17 on mature salmon... Biggest was 31 and a 29, 26 25 and so on.

They are staging really well now and a lot have already shot up the rivers/streams.

Thanks gentlemen

You will note the matures are getting their hooked beaks and starting to look ugly

Meat is also changing to a whiter pale color instead of orange/red.

eggs are still in skein, but soon ready to bust out.

MS E-chip flasher and no se-um fly was hot as well as moonshine lures..Crabfest and vicious bruiser

Easy fishing....30-60 FOW and nothing past 30-35 feet down.

braid and wire dipseys on 2 setting out 70 and 60 respectively

3 setting out 90 and 85

6 color leadcore

Best tack was west into current at 1.9-2.2 surface speed. East tack.nada.

north and south tacks at 2.5 and 2.6

Nice job Shank. Do the salmon taste different when in the spawning stage?

Most liekly a personal thing, but for me

spring salmon.April May and June equal porterhouse steak while stagers and or just pre-spawn are like "roadkill"

I'll put some ppics up of spring VS fall salmon and you can judge for yourself!
