My boat is a 16.5ft Legend Alsport. It was made in 1999 and I have had it since 2006. It is a riveted boat and has always been a "very dry" boat with no leaks.
About a month ago after 1 of my Collingwood trips, I put the boat in the garage as usual and a couple of days later i noticed water dripping out of the boat at the front of the centre keel. The centre keel is "U" shaped and about 1 inch deep at the stern and tapers to nothing and ends where the bow starts to rise. There are flanges of about 1.5 inches on the top of the "U" and that is where all the rivets go to hold the flat part of the hull together. The boat is sitting in the garage, slightly "bow down".
At the front of the keel where it flattens, there are 2 what appear to be drain holes and that is where the water is dripping from? Tonight I cranked the trailer so that the boat is sitting "stern down" and then water ran out of a drain hole at the back end of the keel?
Initially, I was thinking of sealing the 2 holes at the front until I found the one at the stern. They appear to be there for a purpose?
As noted, I have had the boat for 15 years and it has never done this before?

you're just racing to hard to get to that favorite spot Ralph. Seriously I'd have no idea, but I certainly wouldn't plug holes that look like they should be there.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm just going to leave it alone.
Once I found the obvious drain hole at the rear of the keel, they are there for a purpose.
As the keel is hollow, I suspect they are there so that if water gets in, it can get out. If it couldn't get out and froze in the Winter, it could split the keel.
I just found it strange that this happened for the first time after having the boat for 15 years.
