You can use spray hand sanitizer to unfreeze your lock if you have some. The jell stuff would work as well but would be messy. 80% Isopropanol is what I use for the lock on my gate, works great. Right on. I usually have good luck with rubbing alcohol but I was fresh out. I like to put that warning at the beginning because it is something people should take seriously and I don't want someone to see my report and assume it's safe out there. Safety equipment is key especially on early ice.
