I normally fish Simcoe almost exclusively but with the warm temps I imagine I won’t make it out on safe ice there until mid-January. I got addicted to perch fishing there and now I’m branching out. This is my third year ice fishing and I’m slowly getting gear together but until then I rent. Im trying to make it out 20 days this season as I am apparently addicted.
This year I have already booked 2x 3 day trips with Rob’s Five Star fishing mid Jan (10,11, 12) and Feb (7,8,9). Now I’m thinking I should take a trip to Nip early in January.
I assure you I have contacted all of the sponsors of this board that list day huts and will book with them first (Just as I do on the Simcoe board) but I’m a little late to the game. Everyone who has gotten back to me is booked which is not a surprise.
So I’m reaching out to see if anyone can recommend a day hut operator that might not be listed here or preferably a sponsor who does not have day huts listed.
Not sure of the etiquette as I don’t want to disrespect the sponsors in public. Perhaps you could PM me if that’s more appropriate. Or I’ll gladly remove this post if that is preferred.

Didn’t realize the 25 post rule. Thanks
Luckily I just got off the phone and managed to book a day with one of the sponsors. Birch Hill Camp on Nosbonsing. Never fished there and looking forward to it.

The last time I went icefishing on lake nosbonsing which is probably 20 years ago I caught lots of perch but were on the smaller size. they also had these yellow grubs in them I don't know if this is still the case. I must say that the accomodations at that time were great, We did catch a 20 inch walleye that time as well. Good Luck and let us know how you make out.
