What a fun day out guys. Stress levels have been so high with school and it just feels so good to get a video up and enjoy a day on the ice. This was an incredible day. Walleye are truly my favourite fish and being able to target them through the ice is incredibly enjoyable.

I forgot to say too bad about losing the fish and your bait. You might want to try using a leader when you are fishing that lake. It is going to happen again if you are fishing for those sharp teeth fish. Also you are going to catch a few monsters there this winter. Take your time, don't rush the fish. A 30 inch walleye or monster pike can snap your line in a second. I could hear your drag on the reel sounded good. I think you are doing great and have learned a lot in your young fishing life. Keep up the great reports. Good luck and STAY SAFE.

I really appreciate it guys! Thank you. And great point on the leader. Absolutely I am going to tie a few on before my next outing. Losing a 8 dollar tungsten sucks LOL. I’ve already snapped off on 3 pike so far this season. So the lesson has officially been learned! But yes! I really hope to get into a few truly big fish. Those 20-24 inch walleye are huge to me as I’ve never experienced catching a true trophy eye. But I know that lurk and that is extremely exciting!
