Early Hard Water Season Welcome

Hi Folks:

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to all the members - both new along with those of us who have been around since the first days of this group.

Can't make any promises at this point regarding posting the ice conditions on a regular basis in and around the Island Grove/Snake Island area this season. At this point, we are taking a wait and see attitude based on COVID-19 protocols which I hope will finally dissipates early in the New Year.

I can confirm its currently a cool, crisp (2C), clear day on Snake Island and the wind is blowing moderately - which is a major improvement over the gusts in excess of 55-60 kpm over the past 48 hours. Not sure of the temperature of the lake but to date there hasn't been any sign of ice formation in this area but rest assured I am certain there will be safe ice to look forward to early in the new year.

Hi ReelingIn..... - no I don't have a fishing related business nor do I rent fish huts. I regularly frequent the Island Grove/Snake Island area and as a result I post the lake conditions for this area of the lake to assist members of this site who also fish this part of the lake.
