Hi there everyone. Was wondering which map card is best for my humminbird helix 5 gps 2. I have navionics on the phone but want chip card. Is it worth it ?

Yes.
Navionics has the best depth graphs. I also have Lake Master.
The funny thing is, I keep Lake Master on as my primary graph, only because of the depth highlighting. I know Simcoe so well that I don't need to have super finite topography depths when I'm fishing for Lakers or Salmon in 50-400 FOW. But once I need to go under 50 FOW, like when I go to a shoal or it's late in the year and the Salmon are near the rivers, I'll put it in Navionics mode because it's much more detailed.

I agree with you that the Navionics map chip has more detail than Lakemaster.
Unfortunately the 'following the contours' option on my Helix 7 graph (connected to my Terrova iPilot link T.M.) only works with a Lakemaster. So I find having both a Lakemaster & Navionics a good idea.

i switched to Garmin this year for live scope, coming from a helix 7 GPS unit. I have no idea how it works but on the box the Garmin says its has lakevu G3 with Navionics so if you can get this card it seems to have every lake i have ever fished on it in Ontario and the USA.

Navionics without a doubt. I bought two v2 Ontario lakemaster chips for my graphs last year to “follow the contours” with my new trolling motor. But the problem is 95% of the maps are not in 1 foot contours , more like 5 or more , and even then it was not accurate on the lakes I tried.
Sold them and bought navionics , much more detailed and accurate . And with auto pilot and cruise control you really don’t need follow the contour in my opinion.

Agree with the above. But again, if you're mostly looking for depths over 50 feet for big game and trying to center in on, say, 90 to 120 feet of water, then Lakemaster is great.
If you're trying to fish the shoals for pan fish, then lakemaster is not what you want, at least in Ontario. The US version is so much more accurate.
