This October 24 th I lost my lifelong friend/ buddy/wife, outdoor enthusiast and the love of my life.. Well deserved handle of "BEAR"

After a short battle with this terrible disease we call cancer she left at 78 yrs , the angels at Campbell house here in Collingwood gave excellent care to both her and myself for 7 weeks can't thank them enough..

During our 57 yrs of marriage we shared many many adventures , raised three great kids , had our ups and downs but in the end the bond was still there ..

Our ventures lead us and our campers to Armstrong , Newfoundland , Vancouver island and south to Key west and even a few trips to warmer climes ..

She enjoyed the out of doors as myself and also sang in choir, liked criibbage , euchre and the odd trip to the casinos ..

Her working years among others included 18 yrs in health care in a seniors home

Bear and I were married on Oct 10 ,1964 , our honeymoon was a trip to the north for a week in a borrowed car , about then she probably knew what was ahead , WE had many many great moments provided by mother nature and I would,n,t trade those times for anything ..

Every year in October we took a week and once I again headed north ( Our happy place) so this November I set out on a venture I knew she would have enjoyed

I headed north and was fortunate enough to have " Sparky 302 " give some guidance for a short grouse hunt , thanks Sparky ..pix to follow , got three nice birds with the old 410 my dad gave me when I was 12 .. All through the trip she seemed right beside me .

Onward t o Manitoulin , found a great little place that provided me with a great spot to try to find myself at this point , great spot ,even caught 5 bows and had excellent hosts

The pix to follow are some of my spot on Manitoulin but most cherished are the one of Bear with her moose near Sudbury and her 40 lb Mai mai in Costa Rica

Guy,s end of my reciting my lose but if you see an old guy bobbing around in his tinnie in GB just picture two in the boat and wave Hi ..

I wont ask for donations to cancer or dementia ..

Just tell your other " THEIR SPECIAL "

Thank you

Dave

Hi Dave

A few weeks ago at the River, you shared your loss with me and I expressed my condolences at that time.

However, let me express them again.

Sandy and I extend our sympathies to you and your family.

Stay strong my friend.

Ralph

My condolences Dave.

I have been so busy lately and first time in months I decided to swing into the site….. then to see this. Let me know in spring when you decide where and when.
