heading up to Greening Bay at the beginning of February. We have fished Nipi many times ove the past 13 years, this will be the first at this location so any info would be appreciated such as depth, size of huts, distance from shore, soup or chilli, coors or Canadian??? I have read great things about the hosts, so need need to ask about that...thank you.

I'm not overly concerned, this resort seems to have a good name so I booked anyway. My gang are not overly fussy, we just look forward to the weekend and some camaraderie(ouch), catch some decent fish its a bonus...its all about tradition. Just looking for additional info to pass along, and i wont be taking Coors or Canadian, strickly an ale drinker, and the odd rum!!!

A group of us went up there a couple years ago, really nice couple that run the place. Dan will get you to the hut while its still dark out in the morning and come get you at sundown. The fishing wasn't too great when we were up there, however Dan's wife (cant remember her name) caught a couple Walleye that she ended up giving to us to eat as she must of felt bad that we didn't catch any (She told us the trick is to hold your line in your hand or you'll never feel em)
We did have what looked to be about a 15lb pike up to the hole but the 4lb test and ultra light rod did not work out so well. Caught quite a few small perch and some herring though.Beers were cold and the cottage we stayed in was quite nice.
I believe we were in around 30 ft of water. Also, I usually check in on their website, the lady there does a daily blog and fishing report that's quite useful.

cheers trix.....totally agree with the fishing method. we started fishing nipi about 13 years ago, turned up with a multitude of tackle, rods, tip ups, more lures than Bass Pro..... Hadn't caught much the whole day, out comes the resort owner, spool of line, yellow jug head, big minnow, limit if walleye in an hour....you have to listen to the locals
