Minnow heads or Full minnows

When using a jig or spoon, what’s everyone’s thoughts on the minnow head vs a full minnow.

I’ve had mixed results just curious what everyone’s thoughts are.

I use a gold chrome rippin rap on Nip and only use a minnow head on the bottom treble. I put one on when I arrive and it stays on til I leave.

I mainly use just the head when the bite is slow. Also when the bite is slow I seek out the smaller minnows. Otherwise I use a full minnow.

I use minnow heads for the spoons especially when jigging them aggressively as they tend to hang on longer and also minnow tails to make use of the dead ones if you use up all the heads. Jigs I usually do the full minnow live or dead.

I use a 3 inch wiiams wabbler, no minnow or parts. Will catch any species
