So what are Frenchies exactly, in your opinion. I am familiar with this term, but I have not heard it for a long time. My mother was born in Quebec and my fathers family came from France originally. Is this what Frenchies are, people that speak French. I am just curious, if that was what you meant by calling people Frenchies.

Maybe I am just sensitive...... Or maybe I am just right. I have many friends and many of those friends fish. My friends come from every where, Some are Aboriginal, others come from Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Belarus, Russia, Serbia, Guyana, Romania, Syria, India, Pakistan, Canada, and the list is longer so I won't bore you. It just seems there are comments made here and there that can insult another person with out a second thought of such comment. I posted something like this last year for someone referring to white buckets. I use a white bucket too, when I am in a boat that does not have a live well. Or when I am fishing from shore, or walking through the woods to my fishing spots. I have heard many things said over the years that are just not right, that is the only way I can say this politely. Can we just start calling people, FISHERMEN or FISHERWOMEN or ANGLERS..... EXAMPLE...I saw some ANGLERS fishing, and they were catching fish and enjoying life...... Jamie. A.K.A. CRAPPEEEMAN.

I heard finely broken up egg shells work too. It the idea to give the fish something bright to home in on and then have your spreader sitting in the area?

Heard of using shells, barley, & pasta. Guess it’s the same concept as fish scales, some to glitter and shine/reflect on the way down to attract fish. We were using barley for whiteys.

HOWEVER, under the current Regs I’m going to make the assumption egg shells do not qualify as ‘plant-based’

Thank you that was good, my friend. I have just seen so much crap put on people because of where they are from in the world, or the language they speak. I respect the overall opinions of the great people on this forum that I have been reading for almost a year and a half now. There are some great people on here, with kind words and good advice for all. If I see anything that would be hurtful to someone, you can bet I will say something. Thank you for the kind advice.

Guys, please keep in mind that chumming whitefish with such stuff like eg shell, corn and other seeds is not good for that fish stomach, that stuff will sit in its stomach for a long time. And other problem fish can not stop eating, I caught one whitefish with extremely stretched stomach full of bait, I think that fish was suffering.

From what I've seen the use of egg shells isn't actually to bait fish but to create a contrasting bottom when sight fishing in shallow water.
And they sure screw up fishfinders while they are dropping.

I am puzzled by now. Would it be OK to lower a container with a few holes to disperse the smell? I guess a mesh bag could be bitten open.

Knuguy from what I can interpret from the 2022 fishing regs. is that it would be ok to disperse smell using container or mesh bag as long as the bait is strictly plant based.

No fish parts (salties) or animal parts which might transfer fish diseases through the holes or mesh of the bait container when immersed into the water.

Not to be fish or animal flavoured. Does that mean fish attractants that can be sprayed onto a fishing lure cannot be used as well?
