Just trying to help out a buddy.

He snapped a ski on his smitty.

I have built quite a few for free for friends and usually find some free down hill skis to make the build ultra cheap.

Anyone have any they need to get rid of?

Try facebook marketplace.

I had luck and bought 2 pairs for 20-25 dollars.

hey All -

sorry to hijack the thread, always a huge p.i.t.a. when walking in snow with my 60" pelican and gear. What skis should I be looking for adding to the bottom to make like easier?

Also I see people with the skis on the bottom of their sleds have it raised....is it possible to add skis below the sled without raising the sled. I have a sedan and it would not fit if it is raised....

You build the platform and strap the pelican on top...lots of different styles usually all end up built with what you got. Machine drivers attach skis straight to pelican to reduce wear, not to make walking easier.

Anyone know where to get those "tricks" skiis (the shorter ones that they use for the half pipe/etc) where both ends are curved up? I find that sometimes, I would like to push my Smitty backwards to get it into just the right spot that I may have overshot a bit or if I have to back it up because I wanted to change directions without having to pull the thing around (if you know what I mean). So having both ends curved up would be great.
