That's a good price but if you are willing to negotiate and buy in bulk, you might do better. Some time ago after making a bunch of calls to area NAPA stores, I was able to talk one of them into giving me a case price. I had to buy 24 cans but got them for $ 7.28 each. They will probably keep me going for several years, but they don't go bad and they don't take up a lot of storage space either. It might be worth trying for some of you.

I used to use this on an old 1997 car because the enthusiasts on the forums swore by it. But I have never used it since.
Here's the thing.. Do Yamaha dealers or Honda dealers use a similar product on their engines? Does the manual recommend using such products? Do professional mechanics use it when servicing any type of engine, and if they do, how old does the engine need to be before they recommend using it?
I'm not saying it's good or bad, the questions I'm asking are because I'm generally curious.

How old, depends how badly it was neglected. I find it keeps the inner workings of carbs and FI systems clean and therefore things run better. I'm still running a 1968 Ariens snowblower with that stuff, I'm a believer. I used it on a 1990 Argo that was so gummed up it was almost a basket case. Got it running and after a couple of tank fulls, ran pretty steady and reliable.

It's like Franks Hot Stuff, I put it in everything that has a piston.
Hahaha fair enough. I have a backfire while ride at slow speeds or easing off throttle. Im told to clean carbs but don’t have the experience on the oil injected units. Maybe or maybe it won’t fix it. Lol what do I have to lose?

Not sure how effective Sea Foam is but have friend who swears by it. puts it in all his equipment.I will testify to the effectiveness of Mercury Qiuckleen though. Got another buddy who wont run his 90 merc or his 2.5 yamaha without it. I had fouled plugs in my etec this spring. Dealer changed plugs (damn indexing) and recommended quikleen. No more trouble since I started using it. ant argue with results.

I swear by my ultrasound cleaner I see the results of it when someone has Brought a abused machine into my shop, after Ultrasound as clean as a whistle........on my own equipment I only use Stabil and stays clean enough that I never need to ultrasound a carb.
