Home by 3 and at the lake by 4. It was a short outing that last for only an hour but I went 3/4 and missed a bunch more hits. The other 2 were very small whitefish about 15 inches long and swam to get nice and big. This one wasn't huge either but around 2.5 to 3lbs will make excellent dinner tomorrow. Felt good to be out again and this is by far the latest start to the season in a long long time. Spud away if you plan on going, ice was about 3.5 inches but creaked and groaned too much in some spots when I was walking out underneath me.

Looks great! For this time of year, what is a general good depth to fish for Whitefish?

I saw someone catch one last year in out the Gilford area and it surprised me a little.
