try to attract then with something shinny slab grabber or a spoon. once a big one bite another one will follow this fish travel in school. drill another hole a little farther from you so when u release a fish that you don't like the whole school won't follow it if it leaves. I find that once I release a fish and it swim a way the school usually swim away to.

Was out there yesterday. A mixed bag, big ones and smaller all mixed together in small schools, but really had to work for them. Put a big honking clackin' rap on one rod and jigged the heck out of it to bring the school in, then reeeeally had to finesse them with a tiny white tube or small Lindy Darter with Jensen egg to trigger them.
Rinced and repeated this to keep a fairly consistent presence under the ice, kept a dozen between 8-12 inches

I was there Thursday afternoon and like most have stated no big schools so had to call them in with a large loud ripping rap. Few small schools came through after 4 pm and got a few nice ones for the meal Had to use a tungsten jig with perch eye for them as they were pretty fussy Fished 20 FOW

I just got home from PB. Started at 7am and fished until noon. The only fish I saw were my minnows. I guess I have to wait until next weekend. It was fairly busy out there today, despite the cold temps. Some machines, but there was only 7 inches of ice where I was. A few people even parked on the ice.

Managed a dozen keepers for a meal Today. Funny I had to resort to the same jig and perch eye!
