Well it finally warmed up enough to take my dog for a run one the lake. Drilled a few holes and talked to some fellow anglers. I was lucky enough to catch one small walleye but sent it back to grow a little more.

Beats the hell outta my day. I just fondled my tackle and rod.
Can’t wait to get out.
Cheers

Are you coming up to fish nip this year? It should be good since we can keep some (40 - 45 cm). Been out twice this month and got my first keeper from nip EVER.

That looks awesome, the fish and the dog..
What model is yours and how you liking it . I'm thinking Santa may leave one here next Christmas
Looking at the husky as well but so far I like the snow dogs options..
Love to hear any input you have on your machine..
Cheers 🍻

I love the dog. I bought it in 2018 and it has never let me down. If you are looking for something just to pull you and your buddies plus kit out onto the ice it's the way to go. I buried it in 10 - 12 inches of slush last year and disconnected the toboggans and drove it right out of the slush with no difficulty (it's like a little tank).

Very little maintenance required, change the oil just like your snowblower/lawnmower. Grease the bogie wheels and chain and your good to go.

Gas mileage will depend on how hard you drive it. Max speed is 30 km but that's pretty quick for sitting on a toboggan behind it and on a hard packed trail. I can get about 4 hours on a tank while bird hunting in 1 foot of snow (going relatively slow) or 1.5 hours if I push it through deep snow with my gear behind me.

I also like the fact that I can drive it into the bed of my truck turn it around and drive it back off. (now they sell them with reverse).

Storage is way easier then a sled, just put it on a trolley and push it to the back of the garage for the summer.

I definitely would recommend a snowdog for ice fishing.

What motor does your have?
Been thinking about the 10hp but don't want to regret not getting a 13hp. I would probably never use it without snow covered ground and that's why I'm leaning to the 10..

I picked up the 13 HP. Plenty of power to pull with and I wanted the longer track for deep snow.
