Lure maintenance, How to/Best way to clean

When my lures get rusty, I just buy new ones.

Polishing lures ???? WTF c'mon??

Silver slab grabbers toothpaste.

Brass/gold I just sand them as the coating on them is garbage.

I have found that by the time they corrode a bit the hooks will snap very easily.

Will try it all. Also try keeping my boxes dried out and maybe pack lighter.

2nd tooth paste.
Put a bit of the paste on your fingers and rub the blade. Rinse and dry. You can also add a bit of oil from one of your baits (like Jensen eggs or fireballs) to keep from tarnishing b4 you go out. Did a couple up in the hotel room sink for tomorrow.
Brasso is good too, but don't use Silvo on brass lures, too harsh, will strip the finish.

Probably not best to spray automotive chemicals onto stuff you're going to put in the water.
