Was planning on walking out at Gilford tomorrow, was wondering if anyone knows how bad the snow is or am I asking for death on the ice? Thanks Kevin G

I was also thinking of going up tomorrow, but was thinking of bringing my ATC and pulling my clam kenai.

What do you locals think? Unpassable?

I don't know the ice but we were having a few chuckles watching some big trucks, vans and cars spinning wheels on our hood today.....

I was out at Gilford again today. Snow covers the entire ice surface and ranges in depth between 5 - 12”. My ATC bogged down 300 - 400 yds from shore, so I hoofed it out 2km to a spot I wanted to try. Fishing was terrible for me. Mover several times and tried depths 18 - 23 feet. I was over weeds and sand. Fish were there and would respond to aggressive flashy jigging but the bite was brutal. I could barely feel them hit. Tried finesse baits but that just led to dink’s.

I hope someone finds this useful and has much better luck than I did.

One more thing, ice was good. About 3” of white ice and 6-7” of black.
